FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH  PRESCHOOL
   On September 11, 2006, under the administration of Andrea Orchard and the directorship of  Brenda Grom, First Christian Church opened a Christian Preschool for children ages 2 thru Pre-K.  Morning classes are  Monday thru Friday, 9:15 till 11:15 a.m.   Afternoon classes are Monday thru Friday, 12:30-2:30 p.m.There is a class for 3 year olds, a class for 4 and 5 year olds, and a class for pre-kindergarten children.  There is also Tiny Tots, with two classes for 2-3 year olds with a caring adult.  
As the vision of First Christian Church focuses on Evangelism and Assimilation it is the vision of the FCC Children’s Christian Education Committee to provide a Christian Preschool  not only for the members of our congregation, but for the Wadsworth community as well. With this vision, FCC is able to nurture our own, as well as reach out to those who either do not know the Lord or who do not have a home church that they are attending.  We believe this vision is from God. We are called to “go and make Disciples” and we believe this vision is a fulfillment of this calling.  It is His desire to draw all to Himself, including  children.  We can provide families with a Christian environment in which their child is taught highly structured educational skills, solidly equipping them for Kindergarten.  They are rooted and founded on the truths of His word, surrounded by His love, while at the same time being educationally instructed in the ways of the Lord, as  forth in the Bible.  We see that this vision is consistent with the Mission Statement of First Christian Church as well as the Mission Statement of the Children’s Christian Education Department.
 
Our mission at First Christian Church Preschool is to provide a Christian learning environment filled with play-based opportunities for children to grow spiritually, intellectually , emotionally and socially.  Growth in these areas allow children to know God's love, understand basic Christian values, gain positive self esteem and be well prepared to enter kindergarten, confident of his/her developmental abilities.  These educational building blocks provide a foundational base upon which future learning is solidly grounded. First Christian Church Preschool will not attempt to be a child's Sunday School. We believe it is the responsibility of each family to raise their children within their chosen church and it's Christian Education structure.
