Wendy Thompson, Teacher
 

Wendy pursued a B.S. in Early Childhood Development and Family Studies which she hopes to complete in the next few years.  She has worked as a Director of a child development center in Akron and taught State required in-service training classes for other centers within the same company.  She and her husband, Brian have 3 children and are active members of First Christian Church.

 

Karen Taylor, Aide

Karen has resided in Wadsworth most of her life and attends First Christian Church. She is active in the Contemporary Worship Team , church tape ministry and teaches the 3 Yr. old Sunday School Class. She was previously employed at Wadsworth Early Education Preschool as an assistant for the 3 & 4 Yr. Old classes. She and her husband, Mark have 2 grown sons.

Wendy Rogers, Teacher

This will be Wendy's fifth year teaching preschool.  She graduated from The University of Toledo with a Bachelor's Degree in Gerontology, then worked for 10 years as an Activities Director in a nursing facility.  Wendy and her husband, Greg, have 9 yr. old twins and live in Wadsworth.

Kim Pickard, Aide

Kim worked as a primary substitute for FCC Preschool all of the 2006-2007 school year.  She worked as a Medical Assistant for ten years, with a portion of that time working with a Pediatrician.  Kim and her husband, Kevin, live in Wadsworth and have three daughters that they have home educated during their elementary school years.  Kim also has a background in teaching drama and music to children of all ages.

Pre-K

 

Mary Rocha, Teacher

Mary graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education. Mary has many years of experience teaching Pre-K and developed a Pre-K program for a school when she taught in Louisiana.  She and her husband, Kevin, have 4 children high school through college age.

  

Vivian Doyle, Aide

Vivian has worked at the preschool level for many years.  Vivian enjoys teaching Sunday School at St. Luke's Anglican Church Vivian and her husband Larry have been residents of Wadsworth for many years and they have 5 children.  She has always loved nurturing young children and has worked as a Teacher Aide.

Leanne Virgin, Teacher

Leanne may be a familiar face to those who visit Caffessimo in downtown Wadsworth where she leads reading time for children on Wednesday mornings. Originally from Pennsylvania, where she attended Waynesburg College, she and her husband, Kirt, live in Wadsworth and have 3 children. Leanne and her family attend First Christian Church.
