2008 MISSION TRIP TO GULFPORT MI

APRIL 6-12, 2008

The Outreach Committee is planning a Mission Trip to the Disciples Mission Station in Gulfport, Mississippi, April 6-12, 2008. This trip is in conjunction with the major, two-year “Disciples Hurricane Recovery Initiative,” launched as part of the Disciples’ long-term response to Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and other recent hurricanes and tropical storms.

Our team will be limited to 20 volunteers, minimum age is 16 years. We will be working under guidelines established by the Disciples Mission Station. The guidelines emphasize that participants must demonstrate “extreme and radical Safety,” a strong Sensitivity to the local culture, an awareness of the “Spirit that calls us,” and Flexibility. This will be a demanding, working mission trip.
